monolog-mysql version 1.0.3 released

By | 20. July 2015

Today I released a new version of my MySQL connector for Monolog. Based on a pull request by stefandoorn one new features and bugfixes are included.

Basically, better inheritance support is provided, by making some attributes protected, and by changing the method signature. In particular, you now don’t have to pass along an initialized PDO instance, instead you can extend the class and initialize the database connection ad-hoc when required. This can avoid unnecessary database connections when no log is to be written.

You can download the new release from GitHub or install it through composer, as described on the project page and the README file.
